Sajal is an educated and financially settled bachelor who leads a happy and content life in a rented accommodation in the city. Familial responsibilities, particularly concerning mother's physical care owing to her declining health condition, especially after the demise of Sajal's father, had kept him a spinster in his prime. Recently Sajal's mother passed away, leaving him alone in the family in his forties. However, Sajal doesn't have any regrets, and on the contrary, he enjoys his freedom and carefree lifestyle in the absence of any bindings in this middle age. The situation induces mixed reactions from his friends, with some coyly indulging in banter while some counseling Sajal to get married. But Sajal is quite content to continue with the status quo. Once, one of Sajal's colleagues tries reasoning with him to consider marrying a homely girl closer in age, both to taste the bliss of married life for once and develop a healthy companionship - something that has eluded the good woman due to circumstances till then. Initially, a reluctant Sajal was confused with this prospect, but call as it may the human instinct or the lure of the unknown, the recurring thoughts gradually make him interested. Tune in to this unfolding middle age drama of human life based on another probing narrative from the great Suchitra Bhattacharya in this "My StoryGenie" Bengali audiobooks presentation.
