Een slechte koningin, overweldigd door haar eigen ijdelheid, raakt woedend als ze hoort dat haar stiefdochter, Sneeuwwitje, als mooier wordt beschouwd dan zij volgens haar magische spiegel. In een bui van jaloezie, beveelt ze een jager om Sneeuwwitje weg te brengen en te doden. De jager kan zich echter niet aan de daad overgeven en laat Sneeuwwitje ontsnappen. Voor een onzekere toekomst, Sneeuwwitje is zo gelukkig om toevlucht te vinden bij zeven vriendelijke dwergjes die haar misschien kunnen helpen
