Matthias und Anna wollen endlich heiraten. Um Annas geschiedene Eltern wieder zusammenzubringen, sollen diese die Hochzeit organisieren. Dumm nur, dass ihr Vater und ihre Mutter völlig unterschiedliche Vorstellungen von einer perfekten Hochzeit haben. Doch auch die Eltern von Matthias tragen nicht dazu bei, die Situation zu entspannen. Während seine Mutter davon überzeugt ist, dass die Verlobte von Matthias nur erfunden ist, hat sein Vater noch nie ein Heimspiel seines Fußballclubs verpasst. Weil ein solches ausgerechnet am Tag der Hochzeit stattfindet, weigert er sich zu kommen. Schließlich steht bei einer Hochzeit das Ergebnis von vornherein fest - glaubt er jedenfalls ...
