Ein Flugzeug wirft eines Nachts hinter dem Internat eine mysteriöse Kiste ab. Gleich am nächsten Tag untersuchen TKKG die Abwurfstelle, doch von der Kiste ist nur noch ein ziemlicher großer Abdruck zurück geblieben. Eine heiße Spur führt TKKG ins Salamander-Tal. In einer Höhle im dortigen Steinbruch scheint des Rätsels Lösung zu liegen. Tief im Stollen kommt es zu einer abenteuerlichen Verfolgungsjagd und plötzlich bebt auch noch die Erde…
