«The Hound of the Baskervilles» — a detective story by the English writer Arthur Conan Doyle, one of his four stories about Sherlock Holmes, the famous and world-famous British detective. First published from August 1901 to April 1902 in the monthly magazine 'Strand Magazine'. The plot of the story is based on the investigation of the death of Sir Charles Baskerville, who died under mysterious circumstances. The Baskerville family has a family legend that has been passed down from generation to generation about a devilish dog of supernatural origin that haunts all members of the Baskerville family. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson take on the investigation of this case.
