Als Hilde na een lastige scheiding weer in haar geboortedorp gaat wonen, komt ze bij toeval via de sociale media weer in contact met haar vroegere buurjongen Robert, haar vroegere vriendje, haar maatje. Meer was het niet. Ze voeren leuke gesprekken via de chat, maar dan volgt er een radiostilte. Vervolgens krijgt Hilde het bericht dat Robert aan AIDS is overleden.
