Het leven van taartenbakster Jildou staat op zijn kop als ze hoort dat haar eerste liefde Aldrik weer terug is in het Friese dorpje Warns. Zeven jaar geleden heeft ze de keuze gemaakt om niet met hem hem mee te gaan toen hij naar Amsterdam verhuisde. Stiekem hoopt Jildou dat hij teruggekomen is voor haar.
Niets is minder waar. Sterker nog: hij gaat trouwen. Tot overmaat van ramp krijgt Jildou de opdracht om de bruidstaart te verzorgen. Ze besluit haar ex te laten zien wat hij misloopt, maar raakt verstrikt in haar eigen leugens. Gaat Jildou de weg naar de liefde terug vinden?
