Seit Wochen hat es nicht geregnet. Bäume, Büsche und Gräser sind ausgedörrt von der Trockenheit. Wendy überrascht zwei Jungen, die leichtsinnig mit Feuer umgehen. Die beiden hören nicht auf ihre Warnungen. Und dann geschieht das Unfassbare: In der Nacht schreckt Wendy hoch; heftiger Wind ist aufgekommen, er treibt eine Feuerwand auf Lindenhöhe zu.
