Ein Kongress der europäischen Polizeibehörden führt Mycroft Holmes nach Edinburgh. In seiner Begleitung reist auch Oscar Wilde in die schottische Hauptstadt, in der Hoffnung auf etwas Ruhe und Müßiggang. Doch seine Pläne werden jäh durchkreuzt.
