Miss Martha Meacham feels like she is in seventh heaven when she catches the eye of an elderly German man who regularly buys stale buns at her bakery. O. Henry, whose real name was William Sydney Porter, is considered a master of the 'Voice of the City' genre, where sparkling humor is combined with deep philosophical meaning.
