Der Schuldige ist schnell gefasst, und sein Motiv lässt keinen Zweifel an der Tat zu. Der Meisterdetektiv entschließt sich dennoch, den Tatort in Augenschein zu nehmen, und macht eine Entdeckung, die den Verdächtigen entlasten könnte.
