Daughters of Silence

Stranded by volcanic ash in Addis Ababa and grieving her mother's recent death, Canadian-Ethiopian flight attendant Dessie heads to see her grandfather. But Dessie's conflicted past stands in her way and her mother's death causes seismic disruptions in the fine balance of self-deceptions and false histories that uphold her family.
