'The Idiot' is a work by a classic of Russian literature and one of the best world-class novelists F. M. Dostoevsky (1821–1881). The author pursued the goal of creating the image of a 'positively beautiful person.' In Prince Myshkin, the features of Jesus Christ received an everyday refraction, but in the cruel world around him with its 'law of universal mutual devouring,' Myshkin is unable to change anything. Dostoevsky wrote many wonderful works: 'Teenager', 'The Double', 'Uncle's Dream', 'Notes from the House of the Dead', 'Someone else's wife and husband under the bed', 'The Grand Inquisitor', 'Notes from Underground', 'The Dream of a Ridiculous Man' 'The Diary of a Writer', 'A Weak Heart'. The importance of Dostoevsky's work for world literature and philosophy is difficult to overestimate. Without exaggeration, he can be called the most famous and widely read Russian writer, who gained fame not only due to the artistic merits of his prose, but also due to their philosophical and moral content.
